It might start off slow, Matt left for a week's vacation today.
Did anyone attend last night's Planning Commission meeting re: Commercial design standards? With Francis Statelman running ads against it and encouraging turnout, it had the possibility of being long and contentious.

A Bandon Cummunity Blog
A couple of weeks ago I attended a Committee for Community Involvement meeting where they were discussing creating a Bandon Blog. I'm not completely sure what they had in mind, it sounded more like a community forum than a blog but it started me thinking.
I proposed to city manager Matt Winkle that he convert his monthly newsletter to a blog. He can of course still send out the articles monthly by email but by posting them on a blog, people like myself have the opportunity to keep up on what is going on in real time.
This is not my blog. I have invited several community leaders (an perhaps a follower or two) to post here. The success or failure of the blog depends on them. So far Matt has committed to contributing.
You are welcome to comment and post questions on an article. Comments are moderated. You are welcome to disagree but be civil and stay on topic. Anything rude or off topic will not see the light of day.
